Forest School

At Ealdham Primary School we have regular Forest School sessions where we take a group of Reception children to our wild garden for outdoor learning. The Forest School ethos is that by removing the boundaries of a classroom we are removing the boundaries for children that may, for whatever reason, find classroom expectations a challenge.

Forest School helps children develop their language skills as we regularly listen to noises around us and describe what we hear. We also use the gifts that nature offers to develop number skills and use the resources to create natural models.

The children always seem happy to come along and are always able to tell us about their favourite part of the session.
